Sustaira and Siemens at Collision 2023:

This year at Collision marks a huge milestone for Siemens as well as Sustaira. Siemens will be officially launching their Xcelerator Program in Canada, a program that Sustaira was one of the first members of and that represents a big commitment to the Canadian market and customers. To give a little background, the Siemens Xcelerator Marketplace as a whole includes a curated portfolio of Internet of Things (IoT) enabled hardware, software, and digital services from across Siemens and certified third parties; a growing ecosystem of partners; and an evolving marketplace to facilitate interactions and transactions between customers, partners, and developers. Sustaira has been a certified member of the Xcelerator marketplace since its launch in the US and is a trusted Siemens partner for Sustainability and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) projects. With Collision being the launch site of Xcelerator in Canada and Sustaira’s commitment not only to Xcelerator but to the Canadian market as well, this event marks a substantial milestone for both Siemens and Sustaira.

To formally launch the Xcelerator Program in Canada, Siemens is hosting an exclusive, invite-only event that will feature a powerful group of panelists to discuss if Ecosystems are the ”Silver Bullet” of digital transformation. Digital transformation can be daunting. The “Make or Join an ecosystem” is here in the era of collaboration. Creating your own means more control but is heavy lifting, long-term, costly, and change management. Joining an ecosystem has many benefits but how do you choose which one to join? Regardless, ecosystems are a must.

The panelists participating in this exclusive event comprise four different perspectives to discuss ecosystems (like the Siemens Xcelerator ecosystem) from the perspective of an analyst, a partner, a customer, and a vendor. Moderated by Bettina Rotermund, SVP, Head of Strategy, Siemens Xcelerator, the four panelists include:

  • Peter Koerte, Chief Technology and Strategy Officer, Siemens AG. Peter brings the perspective the view of a Vendor.

  • Bobby Cameron, Vice President and Principal Analyst, Forrester. Bobby brings the perspective of an Analyst.

  • Vince de la Mar, CEO and Founder, Sustaira. Vince brings the perspective of a partner.

  • JD MacCuish, Executive Vice President, Strategy & Corporate Planning, Dexterra. JD brings the perspective of a customer.

Sustaira is thrilled to be a part of this panel and to offer insights and our perspective. With Sustaira’s history with Siemens and Mendix expanding to the early days of Mendix, the insights from Vincent de la Mar will be invaluable to understanding how powerful an Ecosystem like what we see here with Siemens Xcelerator truly is.

Sustaira at Collision:

Not only will Sustaira’s Founder & CEO, Vincent de la Mar be participating in the Siemens Panel around ecosystems, but Sustaira will also be available at the Siemens booth in the partner area as well as a workshop. Stop by the Siemens booth right next to the main stage on Wednesday or Thursday between 9:00 and 9:45 am to talk with the team directly.
