Meet Sustaira: Radhi
Here at Sustaira, we get to know all of our employees very well and we want you to know them too! For every new team member, we ask them the following questions to learn about who they are and why sustainability matters to them. Today, we introduce Radhi Gokiladasan. Radhi’s Interview:
Where is home for you?:
I am originally from India. Currently, I live in Rotterdam which is a major port city in South Holland.
What made you decide to join the Sustaira team?
I joined the Sustaira team for many reasons. When considering Sustainability, I feel that being more sustainable can lead to significant cost savings as well as it leads to new revenue opportunities which drives me to join this team.
What is your role at Sustaira?
My role at Sustaira is as a Consultant. I am not only a Mendix developer, but also think logically and help Sustaira to build smarter Apps.
What are you most excited about in your new role?
Learning new platforms is always exciting. I am glad to be part of this team and take it as an opportunity where I can apply my experience and skills to provide better solutions.
What does sustainability mean to you?
Sustainability starts from our own home. It starts from individual efforts of switching off lights if not required, using water cautiously, trying to avoid plastics, etc. Sustainability is not difficult to achieve if we all take these small steps together in our daily lives.
Where do you believe technology meets sustainability in your vision?
Technology and Sustainability meet in many ways. I see this through my house where technology provides more accurate information about energy usage, and the smart meters app helps my sustainable house to better manage the electricity. Also, it helps us find the way to energy-efficient living.
Tell us a little bit about you! Just a couple of fun facts or something people may not know. What do you believe people need to know about Radhi?
Listening to music is a pleasure and very enjoyable for me in my free time. I cook creatively new simple dishes for my 2 young kids. Lastly, I love to do gardening in my (Sustainable) house which gives me a relaxing way to get in touch with nature.
