IPCC Climate Change Mitigation Report: What you need to know.

Early in April, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) published the second part of their sixth evaluation report. This report primarily focuses on mitigation of further climate change, reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and removing carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere.

This week, Environmental International published an article outlining research that found microplastics in the blood of 17 out of 22 participants (about 77%). This is the first time that we have actually found microplastics in the human blood stream. The effects of this new find are still largely unknown.

Yesterday, The European Securities and Market Authority (ESMA) published their final report on the European Union Carbon Market. Key findings from the ESMA website note that while there weren’t any major deficiencies found, there are a few policy recommendations that to no surprise, end up centralized around transparency and monitoring.

Boston, MA - Thursday, January 13th - Sustainability platform provider Sustaira today announced that it has joined the Mendix independent software vendor (ISV) program and has become a Siemens Digital Industries Software Solution Partner.

Thursday, December 2nd - Sustaira and Cloverly announced today a mutual partnership to accelerate Sustainability awareness and actions, specifically around Carbon offsetting.

This interconnected view of sustainability spurred the idea of the Sustaira Sustainability Circle. This circle ultimately represents all the applications and software within and between all the sustainability domains. Hi there, welcome to Sustaira! We are The Sustainability App Platform Company. Great, right? But, what exactly does that mean? I want to use this blog as an introduction. Together, we will walk through what sustainability means to Sustaira, why it matters, and what we are doing to take “sustainability” and make it actionable, insightful, and rewarding. Let’s jump in!

What made you decide to join the Sustaira team?

It was pretty much a done deal as soon as Vince told me about the team he put together. When you get the chance to collaborate with such an incredible group of people, on an incredible mission, you dive in head first.

Here at Sustaira we get to know all of our employees very well and we want you to know them too! For every new team member, we ask them the following questions to learn about who they are and why sustainability matters to them. Today, we introduce Maggie Burnham. Read Maggie’s interview and enjoy!

I’m very excited, pleased, and thankful to announce the start of Sustaira. The core team of Sustaira - both on the business and technical side - has a tremendous amount of (low-code) application experience with a focus on developing and launching innovative web and mobile apps. We believe that combining and focusing all of our resources, expertise, ideas, knowledge, passion and excitement towards Sustainability, ultimately leads to an acceleration of digital Sustainability initiatives and success. Out of intrinsic motivation, Sustaira is going beyond profit and shareholders. Beyond the short term. Not only for this generation, but for generations to come.
