Business Developer - Sustainability Solutions (NL)
Sustaira is looking for a talented and highly motivated Business Developer - Sustainability Solutions with a passion for sustainability and a strong track of high-quality lead generation and business development activities that drive pipeline and revenue. You'll play a pivotal role in driving new customer acquisition and building strong pipelines in key sectors. You’ll be at the front lines of our growth; identifying prospects, opening conversations, and collaborating closely with marketing and sales to turn opportunities into long-term clients.

Drive business development activities to book and run discovery calls and demos together with Sales.
Identify, research, and engage prospective customers across target industries
Develop and execute data-driven business development campaigns and programs, including webinars and events, emails.
Qualify inbound and outbound leads to assess fit and readiness, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline in our CRM (Pipedrive).
Initiate and manage outbound prospecting campaigns using email, phone, LinkedIn, and tools such as Apollo to generate interest in our sustainability solutions.
Collaborate closely with marketing to align messaging and feedback loops, and improve lead quality and conversion rates.
Represent the brand at virtual and in-person industry events as needed.
Joint business development efforts with current and future partners, including Capgemini and Siemens
Stay up to date on sustainability, carbon accounting, and ESG trends to speak credibly with stakeholders across corporate sustainability, finance, procurement, and compliance.
Drive experimentation and iterate rapidly, applying a test-learn-scale mindset.
Track and report on KPIs (meetings booked, conversion rates, pipeline contribution) and provide input on improving outreach and targeting strategies.

2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships—ideally in SaaS, enterprise tech, or sustainability-related sectors.
You have a passion for new technologies, in particular smart, innovative and creative web and mobile apps. AI and generative AI tools experience is a bonus!

A proven track record of meeting or exceeding pipeline or lead generation targets.

Junior Sustainability Consultant or Intern (EMEA)
Sustaira is looking for a talented and driven Sustainability & ESG Consultant with Sustainability domain expertise and an interest in (content) marketing & communications, consulting and technology. In this role, you are a driver of sustainability and ESG knowledge, research and consulting, applying this in sales and (content) marketing campaigns, while working closely with our development team implementing applications specific to sustainability initiatives. Examples of focus areas are ESG disclosures (such as CSRD, CDP, GRi etc.), carbon accounting (including scope 3), target setting and net zero scenario analysis.

Mendix Developer - Sustainability Solutions (EMEA)
Sustaira is looking for a talented and driven Mendix Developer who has experience with Mendix Application Development and Consulting and a passion for Sustainability. As a Mendix developer, you will be part of our delivery team that’s responsible for developing and maintaining solutions on the Sustaira platform with its customers and partners. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, translating business requirements into technical solutions, and contributing to the overall sustainability goals of our customers.

Developing and maintaining the Sustaira platform: This involves using Mendix to build, customize, and enhance the various modules and applications within the platform.
Integrating with existing systems: Integrating the platform with other enterprise systems is a key aspect, ensuring data flows seamlessly and provides a 360-degree view of Sustainability initiatives.
Building custom Sustainability applications:Sustaira allows for customization and personalization of applications to meet specific client needs, and Mendix developers are responsible for creating these custom solutions.
Ensuring application quality and performance: This includes testing, troubleshooting, and optimizing the platform for optimal performance.
Working with business stakeholders: Mendix developers need to collaborate with business analytics and other teams to understand requirements and ensure solutions meet business needs.
Staying up-to-date with Mendix: Continuous learning and development in the Mendix platform are essential for delivering effective solutions.
Documentation and reporting: Maintaining accurate technical documentation and providing regular status reports to management is also a key responsibility.

Currently pursuing a degree (BSc, MSc, or PhD) in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Environmental Informatics, or a related field.
Strong foundational knowledge of Python, data science libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn), and machine learning algorithms.
Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) and/or large language models (LLMs) is a plus.
Experience with tools such as Gemini, ChatGPT, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, or similar frameworks.
Interest or coursework in sustainability, climate change, ESG, or environmental data
Ability to communicate findings clearly and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
