Sustaira’s Founder joins Siemens Xcelerator Advisory Council

With many big things happening at Sustaira as we work through the first Quarter of 2023, more exciting news hit as Sustaira Founder and CEO, Vincent de la Mar, was invited to be part of the Siemens Xcelerator Advisory Council. This comes shortly after Sustaira was one of the first partners to be featured in the Xcelerator Marketplace.

Background

To give a little background, the Siemens Xcelerator as a whole includes a curated portfolio of internet of things (IoT) enabled hardware, software and digital services from across Siemens and certified third parties; a growing ecosystem of partners; and an evolving marketplace to facilitate interactions and transactions between customers, partners and developers. Sustaira has been a certified member of the Xcelerator marketplace since its launch and a trusted Siemens partner for Sustainability and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) projects.

Siemens’ Xcelerator Marketplace is an open, digital, business platform that enables organizations to accelerate their digital transformation easier, faster and at scale. With a total of 15 council members including organizations such as AWS and Accenture, Sustaira is thrilled to have been invited to be part of this exclusive council. The Xcelerator Advisory Council is led by Bettina Rotermun and Peter Körte. Bettina Rotermund is SVP and head of Strategic Marketing at Siemens, responsible for the strategy, evolution and growth of Siemens Xcelerator, as well as for the global Analyst Relations Management. Peter Körte, Chief Technology Officer of Siemens AG, handles developing the company’s strategy and leading its worldwide research and development activities.

Sustaira x Siemens

The people behind Sustaira and Siemens, as well as Siemens’ low-code platform, Mendix, have a proven and long standing track record of partnering. Sustaira founder and CEO, Vincent de la Mar was an early employee of Mendix brought the low-code platform from the Netherlands to the US in 2007, and has continued working alongside Mendix and Siemens ever since. Today, a strong partner relationship continues to thrive. Sustaira has a global partnership implementing Mendix low-code applications, reselling the Mendix platform, and is part of the ISV program along with being one of the first members of the Siemens Xcelerator Program.

Vincent as the Founder and CEO of Sustaira being a member of the council will be able to provide insight and guidance, build on an already well established network, and really have an impact on the decision making process and development of the Siemens Xcelerator. This is a beautiful opportunity to foster collaboration with other advisors, experts in the industry, and share the best practices and innovative approaches to make more impact, faster.

Sustaira is thrilled to have such an active role in the Xcelerator marketplace and now as part of the advisory council. Sustaira’s roots with Siemens and Mendix and more specifically, Vince, go back to long before Sustaira came to fruition. Vince was one the first dozen employees of Mendix and the first person in the US selling the low-code platform. After Vince had two successful acquisitions with Siemens and Mendix, continuing to be so closely connected with Siemens highlights Sustaira’s mission. Aside from Sustaira being a technical partner of Siemens and Mendix, Siemens offers a massive network that ties back to our mission to accelerate Sustainability and ESG.

Sustainability and ESG software

As outlined by analyst firm Gartner, companies will need to focus on Sustainability in 2023 and business leaders are becoming aware of their duty to meet Sustainability and ESG goals and intertwine those goals with software. Organizations across the globe are feeling the growing pressure from the changing regulatory ESG disclosure requirements, including but not limited to the SEC regulations, TCFD, ISSB, CSRD, CDP, and more. With challenges such as siloed and disparate data, limited reporting and an inability to turn insights into actions, organizations need digital solutions that go beyond the “E” in ESG and capture their entire Sustainability journey.

Sustaira’s mission is to be the all-in-one Sustainability platform for not only those leading Sustainability within organizations, but for all stakeholders involved, including Finance, HR, Operations, IT and many more. Sustaira, as the 360-degree software platform that enables, inspires, and unites everyone in an organization and its ecosystem to make a difference. Sustaira is on a mission to accelerate Sustainability initiatives with innovative web and mobile apps to make organizations more Sustainable. Quickly.

The faster Sustaira can co-create new and innovative solutions that can be adopted in the market, the better for everybody involved. Like Siemens, Sustaira can rapidly accelerate sustainability and ESG initiatives via close collaboration and Siemens’ open business platform enables us to do exactly that.

Examples of Sustaira’s Sustainability and ESG app portfolio are:

  • Carbon and Emission Accounting Scope 1, 2 and 3

  • Sustainability and ESG Goals & KPI Tracker

  • ESG Disclosures and Reporting
