Meet Sustaira: Sneha - AI Enthusiast, Conscious Thinker, and Bridge Between Worlds
At Sustaira, innovation meets purpose and every person on our team plays a part in shaping that intersection. Today, we’re thrilled to introduce Sneha, our new AI Intern, who’s bringing curiosity, creativity, and a deep passion for sustainability-driven technology to our mission.
From exploring how AI can make sustainability smarter and more accessible, to finding harmony between two homes across continents, Sneha embodies the spirit of progress with heart.
We caught up with her to talk about home, impact, and why she believes AI and sustainability are better together. Let’s dive in.
Where do you call home?
I was born and raised in India, where my roots keep me grounded. Utrecht is where I’ve been building myself from scratch both personally and professionally so it feels like my second home. I carry a bit of both with me.
What inspired you to join Sustaira?
I’ve always wanted to do something meaningful with technology, and Sustaira with its long-term vision for sustainability feels like the perfect fit for me. The opportunity to work at the intersection of AI and real-world impact really resonated with me.
What will be your role at Sustaira?
I’m joining as an AI Intern, supporting AI research, content generation, and product enhancements that help make sustainability insights clearer, smarter, and more actionable for our clients.
What does sustainability mean to you, personally?
For me, sustainability is about conscious living making choices that protect the planet and create long-term well-being. Having lived in both India and the Netherlands, I’ve seen how different communities experience sustainability, and it motivates me to help bridge that gap through accessible technology.
What opportunities do you see for AI to accelerate sustainability goals?
At Sustaira, I’m excited to explore how AI supports key domains like carbon management, disclosures, impact, supply chain transparency, and risk & governance.
I also believe decentralization is the future combining AI with blockchain can bring more transparency, trust, and traceability. To me, AI is an accelerator that helps organizations reach their sustainability goals with more confidence.
Tell us a little about yourself! What are some fun facts or things people might not expect?
I’m naturally curious and love exploring everything from psychology and quantum physics to AI and human behavior. I enjoy traveling, discovering cafés, practicing yoga, and being in nature. A fun fact: I love hugging trees.
