Meet Sustaira: Arianna – Global Citizen, Marketer, and Sustainability Believer

At Sustaira, we don’t just build sustainability apps, we build a team that lives and breathes purpose. Today, we're excited to introduce someone who's bringing a fresh perspective, creative fire, and serious marketing skills to our mission: Arianna, our new Growth Marketer.

We sat down with Arianna to talk all things home, sustainability, and croissants (yes, really). Let’s dive in.

Where do you call home?

Home, for me, is where my people are and my people are everywhere. I was born and raised in Ravenna, Italy. You might not have heard of it, but fun fact: it was once the capital of the Western Roman Empire (cool, right?). My family home is still there, along with my parents. My siblings are based in sunny Sydney, Australia, and my partner’s family is from vibrant and delicious India.

Right now, I live in Rotterdam, a city I love for its energy, creativity, and international vibe.

So yeah, my heart is kind of in every time zone. Guess you could say I have many homes.

What drew you to Sustaira?

When I left my job in Italy, I knew I wanted to return to the tech world but I also wanted to finally put my Master’s in Sustainability and Business Innovation to work.

Then, almost by chance, I came across Sustaira. Meeting after meeting, all the pieces started to fall into place. I love the startup environment, the opportunity to collaborate with other young, inspiring people, and the chance to contribute to something meaningful and future-focused.

It gives me purpose while still being a lot of fun.

What’s your role at Sustaira (and what excites you about it)?

At Sustaira, I lead marketing, from positioning and communication to turning curiosity into conversion.

What I love about startup marketing is the wide-open space to experiment. You're not stuck in a box, you're building the box. The trial and error phase isn’t scary to me, it’s exciting. There’s a kind of creative electricity in shaping something from the ground up, and that’s exactly what I’m here for.

What does sustainability mean to you, personally?

To me, sustainability is about mindfulness and care. Care for the planet, for the future, and for ourselves.

It’s not just about giant overhauls. It’s about everyday decisions, how we spend our time, energy, and resources. People often see sustainability as this complex, untouchable concept, but really, it’s simpler than we think. It’s a mindset, and the more we embrace it, the more natural it becomes.

How do you see technology driving sustainability forward?

Tech is already woven into so many moments of our day, some helpful, some… not so much. But when used intentionally, it can help us become more aware of our environmental impact and guide us toward better choices.

The real power of tech in sustainability? It’s not just about data, it’s about direction.

Tell us something fun (or unexpected) about you!

I have a dog named Tucker who has a French passport (he’s probably, definitely more sophisticated than me).

I recently got into running, I love to read but not so much talking about it, and I may or may not have a full-blown obsession with croissants and cappuccino. I basically turned my Google Maps into a living guide of cute cafes and pastry spots. Priorities, right?

We’re beyond excited to have Arianna on board. With global roots, sharp marketing vision, and a passion for thoughtful living, she fits right in with Sustaira’s mission to build a more sustainable future.

Welcome to the team!
